Bohm was a proponent of the “pilot wave” interpretation of quantum mechanics. There is much about the operation of the universe at the quantum realm – a quantum being the smallest bit of energy that can cause change or be changed – that we do not understand.
What is the connection between “time” and “value”? Consider this: that there is no intrinsic value in money. The only value in money is the belief that buyer and seller place in it as a medium of exchange. Take your dollars or Euros or pounds or yen to another planet and they would have no value there. Value is entirely a function of human belief.
How far-fetched is the claim that Google’s artificial intelligence now possesses real intelligence, a consciousness? What would we do, if it could be proven that the machine has developed its own intelligence? Would the machine remain our friend, or become our foe? What would happen if we lost control of the machine?
